Set up Sahl Budget

You’ll need a computer for about 2 minutes, then your iPhone. By continuing you agree to the Terms of Use.

Step 1 · On your computer

Duplicate the Notion template

It holds your funds and every entry. Rename the funds and set their shares so they add up to 100%.

Step 2 · On your computer

Connect it to Notion

This gives the Shortcuts access to that one page only. Notion’s integration settings only work in a browser on a computer.

  1. Create a new integration named Sahl (type Internal) and copy its secret. It starts with ntn_.
  2. Open your Sahl Budget page, click ••• → Connections and add Sahl.
  3. Send the secret to your iPhone: copy it on a Mac (it appears on your iPhone clipboard), or use AirDrop or Notes.

Step 3 · On your iPhone

Add both Shortcuts

On your iPhone, tap each one. When asked, paste your Notion secret and type your currency (like $ or SAR). You only do this once.

Step 4 · On your iPhone

Turn on Back Tap

Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap.

  1. Set Double tap to Sahl Budget Log.
  2. Set Triple tap to Sahl Budget What’s Left.
